It has been observed that Woman in the Pakistani culture is dependent over father, brother,husband and son in her life. All of whom make the key decisions in her lives on her behalf. It is a famous saying that educating your daughter is like watering the tree in your neighbour’s house and many in our society appeared to subscribe to this viewpoint.
So, if the such attitude is not thoroughly changed, a little modification could not be expected. Anyhow, the attitude of families towards their women is changed recently. In consequences upon this change, some variety of independence to women about their rights for taking their own decisions in their life have been appeared. In accordance with table 20 70% parents of urban area were cooperative with them towards their jobs; 20% parents were non-cooperative and 10% parents were respectful with their daughters towards their job.
The table further points out that 88% of parents of rural population were cooperative; 10% of parents were non-cooperative while only 2% of parents were respectful with their daughters towards their jobs. The data further reveal that a total of 79% of the parents were cooperative towards the job of their daughters, 15% were non-cooperative and only 6% of parents were respectful with their daughters towards their jobs.
